AML Victim: United States; My husband was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) a little over a year ago, on Aril 2009. A lot has happened since, not only in terms of his illness but also in terms of our life as a family. He is 35 years old and the father of 4 year old twin boys. The purpose of this blog is to share our story and specially our struggles as a result, not only of the cancer, but also with the system. For people who have to live with a terrible disease like leukemia life can be tough. We also want to hear of other cancer patients and their stories. We want to know how they survive. What happens is not right or morally fair. Our ultimate goal is to have an impact and change the system hopefully. My husband asked me to write it for us but we discuss or have already discussed most of the content we want in this bog. We will remain anonymous and my hope is that you understand the reason for this as I write our story.
